Dubai is set to welcome global leaders and innovators as it hosts the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1-2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit underscores Dubai’s growing role as a hub for climate action and sustainable economic development.

Organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), this year’s summit carries the theme ‘Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.’ The event aims to advance low-carbon economic models and promote resilient, inclusive green growth globally.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO, highlighted the summit’s significance. He said it serves as a pioneering platform for mobilising public and private sector partnerships, expanding green finance, promoting climate equity, empowering youth, and supporting communities vulnerable to climate change.

The summit will bring together leaders, policymakers, experts, and specialists from around the world to discuss seven key pillars: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, policies and regulation, finance, climate equity, climate adaptation and resilience, and youth engagement in climate action.

A total of 16 local, regional, and international organisations are sponsoring the event, including Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Dragon Oil, Emirates NBD, DUBAL Holding, Dubai Green Fund, Al Etihad Energy Services, Moro Hub, Dubai Media, Forbes Middle East, CNBC Arabia, Arabian Radio Network, AGMC, and the US-UAE Business Council.

The 11th WGES marks another step in Dubai’s ongoing commitment to shaping a sustainable future, positioning the emirate as a key player in the global green economy.
