Dubai is set to welcome world leaders in sustainability as the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) takes place from 30 September to 2 October at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the event will bring together companies, experts, decision-makers and investors from across the globe to highlight the latest advancements in clean and renewable energy.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said the exhibition reinforces international cooperation in sustainability and supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and National Hydrogen Strategy 2050. He noted that clean energy is expected to make up 36 percent of the UAE’s energy mix by 2030.

The exhibition will feature major sponsors including Masdar, TAQA, ENOC, Siemens Energy, ACWA Power and Hitachi Energy, alongside international pavilions from France, Belgium, Poland, Russia and Canada.

Key highlights will include DEWA’s Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, one of the world’s largest renewable energy projects, and the pioneering Green Hydrogen project, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa.

Participants will showcase solutions in solar, wind, storage, desalination and digital energy technologies. Notable demonstrations include Sigma Energy’s wave energy devices and innovations from firms such as Ecolibri and Derun Energy.

With thousands of attendees expected, WETEX 2025 continues to serve as a global platform for partnerships, innovation and advancing Dubai’s position as a leading hub for sustainability and the green economy.
