The 20th Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Conference will commence this Friday in Dubai, coinciding with the inaugural World Conference on Eustachian Tube Research and Interventions.
The landmark dual event will take place at the InterContinental Festival City Hotel, welcoming over 1,000 regional and international experts from 33 countries.
Dr. Moaz Tarabichi, Co-Chair and Chairman of the Organising Committee, described the event—organised by InfoPlus—as a key platform for showcasing the latest advancements, discussing clinical challenges, and driving innovation in ENT practices. He highlighted the specialty’s dynamic growth, encompassing complex cases and a unique blend of clinical and surgical disciplines across all age groups.
The scientific programme features over 50 sessions, 625 lectures, 253 research papers, and multiple workshops. It also includes five industry seminars and the “Heinz Stammberger” global research competition, with 30 resident doctors participating.
Dr. Latifa Al Makoushi, Conference President and Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, noted the comprehensive scope of the programme. It spans pediatric ENT, rhinoplasty, ear and balance disorders, head and neck surgery, and audiology. A highlight is the “Balance Man” workshop, alongside keynote lectures, guided courses, and interactive sessions.
Over 100 global speakers will present on topics such as endoscopic nasal surgery, cochlear implants, facial plastic surgery, and audiovestibular medicine. The programme also aims to address disparities in managing Eustachian Tube Disorders (ETD), encourage collaborative research, and streamline treatment protocols worldwide.
An exhibition featuring more than 25 leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies will run alongside the conference, supporting knowledge exchange and innovation in the field.
