Dubai is set to make sporting history as it prepares to host the world’s first-ever Women’s Triathlon World Cup on December 7, 2025, marking a major milestone for women’s sports globally.

Organised by the Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with World Triathlon and the UAE Triathlon Federation, the event will take place on Dubai Islands and is officially part of the World Triathlon championship calendar.

The competition will feature swimming, cycling, and running across three formats: Professional, Sprint, and Super Sprint. It will also include a team category where three female athletes will each compete in a different discipline. Registration is now open to women of all nationalities aged 18 and above through the event’s official website.

The initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision to empower women and strengthen their presence in global sports while positioning the city as a leading international sports hub. The Dubai Sports Council highlighted that the event aims to boost women’s participation in competitive athletics by offering a world-class, inclusive platform.

World Triathlon President Antonio Fernandez Arimany praised Dubai’s leadership in advancing women’s sports, calling the partnership a “source of pride” and a “transformative step” toward greater inclusion in endurance disciplines.

Seen as a launch pad for future women-focused sporting events worldwide, the Women’s Triathlon World Cup – Dubai 2025 underscores the UAE’s growing role in shaping a more balanced and forward-looking global sports landscape.
