Dubai is set to host the Regenerative Medicine ASRM Congress 2025 on October 24–25 at the JW Marriott Marina, bringing together leading international and regional experts to explore the future of cellular and regenerative healthcare.

Organised by the American Spine Centre in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Biobank and the American Society of Regenerative Medicine, the two-day summit will focus on breakthroughs in stem-cell science, translational research, and the expanding potential of cellular therapies in modern medicine.

A key highlight of the congress will be Abu Dhabi Biobank’s pioneering work in supporting regenerative research through cord-blood stem cells. Since its establishment in 2024, the biobank has been instrumental in preserving research-grade samples to advance treatments for a range of diseases and improve community health in the UAE and beyond.

“Cord blood stem cells have moved well beyond their early use in blood and immune disorders and are increasingly becoming critical to the next generation of regenerative medicine,”

said Paul Downey, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Biobank.

Congress Chairman Dr. Hisham Hakim, who also heads the American Spine Centre, emphasised the importance of ethical and accessible stem-cell research.

“By ensuring ethically sourced, clinically viable cord-blood stem cells are accessible for research and treatment, the Abu Dhabi Biobank is connecting discovery with delivery,”

he said.

The event will feature discussions on cellular research, mitochondrial and functional medicine, laser applications with stem cells, and new approaches to treating aesthetic disorders, hormonal imbalances, degenerative joint diseases, and neurological conditions.
