Dubai is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1–2 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to drive forward actionable solutions for climate resilience and sustainable development.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO), this year’s summit will run under the theme ‘Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy’. The event will focus on empowering developing regions, strengthening public-private partnerships, and fostering global cooperation to tackle climate change.

WGES 2025 will feature discussions across seven key pillars: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, policy and regulation, finance, climate equity, adaptation and resilience, and youth participation in climate action.

The summit will delve into how artificial intelligence, smart technologies, and clean energy innovations are reshaping sustainability efforts. It will also address the increasing energy demands driven by AI infrastructure, and examine solutions like nuclear energy, green hydrogen, and critical mineral sourcing.

Policy shifts, carbon markets, and climate finance will take centre stage as experts explore pathways to align regulations with sustainable economic growth. At the same time, the agenda will spotlight issues of climate equity and the disproportionate impact on vulnerable communities, offering solutions through smart agriculture, water management, and resilience planning.

Youth engagement is also a major focus, with sessions highlighting the role of next-generation leaders in advancing climate goals through innovation and activism.

With its global scope and solutions-oriented agenda, WGES 2025 aims to accelerate the transition to a greener, more inclusive global economy.
