Dubai is set to reinforce its growing role in global health innovation as it hosts the second edition of the GCLS Semester Symposium on 2 and 3 February at the Dubai Knowledge Park Auditorium.

The event will convene international leaders in longevity science to examine how cutting-edge research can be transformed into practical, scalable solutions for the Middle East.

Organised by the Geneva College of Longevity Science in partnership with Dubai Science Park, the symposium is titled The New Era of Longevity Innovation for the Middle East. It is positioned as the city’s leading platform dedicated to longevity, bringing together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors from around the world.

The two-day programme will feature more than 40 international speakers across keynote sessions, expert panels, and interdisciplinary discussions. Core themes include the biology of ageing, biomarkers and diagnostics, preventive and lifestyle-based interventions, and the clinical translation of emerging therapies. The agenda will also explore financing models, regulatory frameworks, and the development of sustainable longevity ecosystems.

Professor Dr Dominik Thor, President of the Geneva College of Longevity Science, said the field is rapidly shifting from theory to application. He noted that the symposium creates a space where global expertise meets regional ambition to shape the future of healthspan through prevention and systems innovation.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park and Dubai Knowledge Park, said the event reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing human longevity by connecting scientific discovery with market-ready solutions and real-world impact.
