Dubai Chambers concluded the Dubai–India Business Forum today in Mumbai, marking a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two markets.
Held alongside the official visit of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to India, the event underscored the growing momentum in UAE–India relations.
The forum brought together over 200 senior officials and investors, including a 39-member delegation of leading Dubai business figures. Discussions centered on expanding trade and investment partnerships, launching joint ventures, and leveraging each market’s competitive advantages to boost bilateral economic growth.
The event follows the third anniversary of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), signed in February 2022, which laid the foundation for enhanced UAE–India trade cooperation. Since then, non-oil trade between the two economies has flourished—reaching AED142 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a 19% year-on-year increase.

said HE Ahmad bin Byat, Vice Chairman of Dubai Chambers.
“Our relationship is built on mutual trust and a shared vision of economic integration.”
HE Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted Dubai’s appeal as a hub for Indian businesses, with over 72,000 Indian companies registered and 4,563 new entries in Q1 2025 alone—up 16.2% year-on-year.
A high-level panel during the forum explored future collaboration in trade, investment, and global expansion. The session reinforced Dubai’s strategic role as a launchpad for Indian firms targeting international markets.
The forum supports Dubai Chambers’ wider goal of deepening global economic ties, driving investment, and creating new opportunities across key sectors.
