Dubai Industrial City Celebrates 20 Years of Industry Excellence and Future Growth

Dubai Industrial City, the Middle East's leading manufacturing and logistics hub, marked its 20th anniversary with a gala dinner at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

The event, attended by key officials including Her Excellency Eng. Alia Abdul Rahim Al Harmoudi from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and His Excellency Ahmed Al Naqbi from Emirates Development Bank, celebrated the district's journey and future ambitions.

Launched in November 2004 by TECOM Group PJSC, Dubai Industrial City has evolved into a thriving ecosystem, home to over 1,100 global and regional businesses, including Unilever, A P Moeller Maersk, and Patchi. The district has seen significant growth, with its workforce expanding 13% this year and the number of operational factories increasing by 16%.

"The vision for Dubai Industrial City was to solidify the UAE’s role as a global manufacturing leader. Today, we are proud to be at the heart of an industrial revolution that supports sustainable growth and the 'Made in UAE' brand,"

said Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive VP of TECOM Group.

Looking ahead, the district reaffirmed its commitment to innovation by signing an MoU with Siemens. This partnership will focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and operational efficiency, ensuring Dubai Industrial City's customers stay at the forefront of industrial advancements.

With its strategic location near major trade routes, Dubai Industrial City continues to be a key player in Dubai's manufacturing sector, which contributes significantly to the city's GDP. As part of TECOM Group, it remains a central pillar of Dubai’s diversified economic future, aligned with national initiatives like Operation 300bn and the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.
