Dubai Inheritance Court Achieves Remarkable Results in 2024
Dubai Courts has announced that the Inheritance Court achieved exceptional results in 2024, reinforcing its crucial role in delivering justice and safeguarding individual rights.
The court attained an impressive 84 percent amicable settlement rate in inheritance and guardianship asset cases, successfully resolving disputes involving 1,353 properties. Additionally, it issued 1,407 inheritance certificates, with 72.5 percent of its initial rulings upheld on appeal.
Demonstrating operational efficiency, the court processed 38,367 smart applications. The total value of assets managed, including guardianship holdings, exceeded AED583 million, while amicable settlements in inheritance and guardianship disputes surpassed AED10 billion. The overall value of claims brought before the court exceeded AED35 billion, with cases resolved in an average of just 24 days.
Judge Mohammed Al Shamsi, Head of the Inheritance Court at Dubai Courts, stated,
“The achievements in 2024 reflect our commitment to upholding justice and advancing the UAE's judicial system. Our efficient handling of cases and settlements has expedited procedures, reducing the timeframes for adjudication. These accomplishments strengthen the foundations of justice, enhance social stability, and showcase our model of judicial excellence.”
The court has made significant strides in modernizing judicial services through digital transformation and procedural streamlining. Key innovations include a smart application system that allows online submission and tracking of requests, reducing the need for physical court visits and ensuring greater transparency and security.
