The 23rd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has begun at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing 155 horses from 12 countries and reinforcing the UAE’s standing as a leading destination for elite equestrian events.

On the opening day, 18 horses qualified for the final championships, setting the stage for a highly competitive showcase of Purebred Arabian excellence. The event continues to attract widespread international participation, reflecting strong confidence in the UAE’s ability to host world-class sporting competitions.

Ziad Galadari, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, said the diversity of entries underscores the country’s reputation as a secure and well-organised hub for global events. He attributed the championship’s success to sustained leadership support aimed at preserving the heritage of Arabian horses while upholding international standards.

Organisers highlighted the efficiency behind the event’s execution, noting the rapid conversion of exhibition halls into fully equipped competition arenas. Strict adherence to global animal welfare protocols, including transport and care, has further ensured a smooth and professional start.

Participants and industry experts have praised the championship’s continued growth, describing it as one of the most prestigious fixtures in the international equestrian calendar. Beyond competition, the event serves as a platform to showcase top-tier equine talent while strengthening collaboration within the global horse community.

As the championship progresses, it continues to highlight Dubai’s role in advancing excellence in equestrian sport and preserving a key aspect of regional heritage.
