Dubai International Chamber Drives Foreign Investment and Business Expansion in 2024

Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has continued its robust efforts to bolster foreign direct investment (FDI) and support local companies’ global expansion throughout 2024.

The chamber's initiatives have significantly contributed to the emirate’s sustainable economic growth, enhancing foreign trade across key global markets.

In 2024, the chamber successfully attracted 207 companies to Dubai, marking a 56% increase compared to 133 in the previous year. Among these, 51 were multinational companies (MNCs), a 55% rise from 33 in 2023, while 156 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) also joined, up 56% from 100 in 2023. Additionally, the chamber helped 114 local businesses expand into new international markets, a 48% increase from 77 the previous year.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai International Chamber, attributed the results to the chamber’s concerted efforts to enhance Dubai's appeal to global investors and support local businesses' international growth. He highlighted the importance of the chamber's international offices in showcasing the opportunities Dubai offers.

In 2024, the chamber expanded its global presence, opening new offices in Kazakhstan and Colombia, bringing its total to 33 locations. It also hosted 182 visiting delegations and participated in 127 global events across 50 countries. As part of the ‘New Horizons’ initiative, trade missions were organized to countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, and Morocco, resulting in 2,205 business meetings — an 88% increase over the previous year.

Furthermore, the chamber launched international editions of the Dubai Business Forum in China and the UK, drawing 1,150 participants, reinforcing Dubai's position as a key global business hub.
