Dubai International Chamber has officially launched a new international representative office in Dhaka, marking a significant step in deepening economic ties between Dubai and Bangladesh.

The move is part of the wider Dubai Global initiative, aimed at positioning Dubai as a top global business hub by 2030.

The Dhaka office becomes the Chamber’s 35th representative office worldwide and reinforces efforts to support Dubai-based businesses in expanding into key global markets while attracting foreign investment into the emirate. The launch was announced during a ceremony attended by UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, H.E. Abdulla Ali Abdulla Alhmoudi, along with leading figures from Bangladesh’s business community.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized Bangladesh’s potential, describing it as a “fast-growing market” ripe with opportunities for collaboration. He noted that the new office would play a pivotal role in connecting businesses, facilitating trade, and attracting investment on both sides.

Economic ties between Dubai and Bangladesh have been steadily growing. Non-oil trade between the two reached AED 6.3 billion in 2024, a 9% increase from the previous year. The number of active Bangladeshi companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has also climbed to 9,094 by the end of Q1 2025, reflecting rising interest in the Dubai market.

The Dhaka office will act as a bridge between the two economies, supporting businesses through market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and investment facilitation. It will also assist Dubai-based companies in navigating the Bangladeshi market and identifying strategic growth opportunities.

With the goal of establishing 50 global offices by 2030, Dubai Chambers continues to expand its international footprint, strengthening its role as a facilitator of global business and investment.
