Dubai International Chamber has opened a new international representative office in Karachi, marking a significant step in efforts to strengthen trade and investment flows between Dubai and Pakistan.

The launch reflects Dubai’s wider strategy to deepen its global business reach and support expanding bilateral economic activity.

The Karachi office is part of the Dubai Global initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. The initiative is designed to enhance Dubai’s role as a global business hub by attracting foreign direct investment and supporting the international growth of Dubai-based companies across 30 priority markets.

The inauguration ceremony in Karachi was attended by Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, alongside officials and representatives from Pakistan’s business community.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the expansion reflects a long-term commitment to strengthening economic ties. He noted that the office will broaden cooperation between business communities and support new pathways for trade and investment, enabling Pakistani companies to tap opportunities in Dubai.

The launch comes amid rising commercial activity between the two markets. Dubai’s non-oil trade with Pakistan reached AED22.8 billion in 2024, and the number of Pakistani companies registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce grew 161 percent between early 2022 and the end of the third quarter of 2025. More than 6,800 Pakistani firms joined during the first nine months of 2025.

The new office will work with public and private sector stakeholders to promote Dubai’s competitive advantages, provide market intelligence, and support Pakistani businesses seeking to establish a presence in the emirate. It will also assist Dubai-based companies looking to enter Pakistan by offering insights, identifying opportunities, and connecting them with reliable local partners.
