Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has inaugurated a new representative office in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
This expansion marks the chamber’s 32nd international office, aligning with the ambitious ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which aims to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030. The move underscores Dubai’s commitment to enhancing global economic partnerships and fostering investment, business, and trade links.
The new Almaty office will strengthen business connections between Dubai and Kazakhstan, supporting both public and private sector collaborations. The decision follows robust growth in non-oil trade between the two regions, which reached AED 14 billion last year—a significant 82% increase. Additionally, 187 new Kazakhstani companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first nine months of this year, bringing the total number of active Kazakhstani member companies to 668.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion, noting,
“The chamber’s representative offices play a crucial role in attracting companies and investments to Dubai, boosting bilateral trade with promising markets, and enhancing partnership opportunities among business communities.”
The Almaty office aims to attract Central Asian businesses and investors to Dubai, promote the emirate’s competitive advantages, and assist companies in using Dubai as a gateway for international growth. It will also offer market insights and foster connections for Dubai-based companies looking to expand into Kazakhstan. This initiative is a vital component of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global business hub.
