Dubai International Chamber Opens Representative Office in Bogotá
Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has officially launched a new representative office in Bogotá, Colombia, to enhance economic ties and foster trade and investment opportunities between Dubai and Colombia.
The opening of the Bogotá office brings the chamber’s global network to 33 international locations, aligning with the ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which aims to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030.
The initiative is designed to position Dubai as a global business hub, attract foreign direct investment (FDI), and support the international growth of Dubai-based companies across 30 priority markets.
Dubai and Colombia's economic partnership has been growing steadily, with non-oil trade reaching AED 1.9 billion in 2023, marking a year-over-year increase of over 51%. As of September, 131 Colombian companies were active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, underscoring the growing bilateral engagement.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the importance of expanding Dubai’s international office network to enhance global trade links. He noted that Latin American markets, including Colombia, present significant opportunities for strengthening trade and investment flows.
The Bogotá office is expected to play a key role in facilitating collaboration between the Colombian business community and Dubai, promoting the emirate’s advantages as a business destination, and offering support to both Dubai-based companies expanding into Colombia and Colombian companies seeking to enter the Dubai market. The office will also foster partnerships with both public and private sector stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
