Dubai International Chamber, a key component of Dubai Chambers, reported significant achievements in Q1 2024, aligning with Dubai's economic goals.

The chamber saw a notable 48% YoY growth in attracting multinational companies (MNCs) and SMEs to the emirate, reaching 37 entities. This surge, comprising eight MNCs and 29 SMEs, underscores Dubai's rising appeal to global investors across diverse sectors.

Moreover, the chamber facilitated the expansion of 21 local companies into new international markets, tripling the number from Q1 2023. Support included exporting to new countries, establishing overseas presence, and forging joint ventures, reflecting Dubai's commitment to fostering global business engagement.

His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai International Chamber, reiterated their commitment to attracting international companies and supporting local firms in expanding into global markets, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). He highlighted the chamber's 31 international representative offices as pivotal in promoting Dubai's appeal to global talent and businesses.

During Q1, the chamber organized two 'In Focus' sessions, focusing on trade and investment opportunities in Senegal, Morocco, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This initiative provides a platform for Dubai businesses to engage with leaders from targeted markets, fostering cross-border partnerships and business growth. Participants gain valuable insights on doing business in these regions, facilitating successful international expansion.

The chamber's 'In Focus' events introduce the 'New Horizons' initiative, facilitating tailored trade missions and B2B meetings for Dubai-based companies to explore investment opportunities abroad. Additionally, the chamber convened Emirati entrepreneurs to discuss support programs for expanding into global markets.

In February, a special business event during the Gulfood exhibition gathered 400 representatives from local and international food and beverage companies. Attendees gained insights into industry trends and Dubai's lucrative opportunities, driven by advanced logistics and a conducive business environment.
