The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) has unveiled its 2025–2026 sports season, promising a dynamic calendar of local and international competitions, carnivals, and marine festivals across Dubai’s iconic waterfronts.

The program aims to attract a broad audience while reinforcing the city’s reputation as a global sporting and tourism hub.

Ahmed Saeed Bin Meshar, Chairman of the DIMC Board of Directors, expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership, highlighting the crucial support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He credited this backing for the ongoing growth of marine sports in the region.

“The new season aligns with our Strategic Plan 2025–2027, focusing on sustainable development and innovative solutions to strengthen Dubai’s and the UAE’s standing in marine sports,”

Bin Meshar said. He added that DIMC aims to engage all segments of society in both heritage-based and modern marine sports, with events spanning Jumeirah beaches, Dubai Islands, and the Hatta region.

The season kicks off with the Dubai Local 22ft Dhow Sailing Race on September 27, 2025, at Jumeirah Beach. Key events include dhow sailing races in October, the UAE Sailing and Windsurfing Championships and the Al Maktoum Rowing Cup in November, the XCAT World Powerboat Championship and FINA World Swimming Championships finals in December, and the Dubai International Boat Show in April 2026. The season closes with the 35th Al Gaffal Traditional 60ft Dhow Sailing Race between April 24 and May 17, 2026.

DIMC acknowledged its strategic partners, including the Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Media Incorporated, Dubai Maritime Authority, and Emirates Foundation, for their continued support in delivering world-class marine sporting events.

Since its establishment in 1988, DIMC has combined cultural heritage with modern sporting excellence, nurturing talent and showcasing Dubai’s enduring ties to the sea.
