The Dubai International Rally is set to return this month as organisers confirmed the launch of its ninth edition from Dubai Festival City, bringing the finale of the World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas to the heart of the city.

The event will run from 20 to 23 November and will feature 94 vehicles representing more than 30 countries.

The Emirates Motorsports Organisation said the shift to Dubai Festival City will give spectators easier access to the action, allowing fans and families to follow the atmosphere of off-road racing without travelling into the desert. The venue is expected to draw strong public interest and extensive media coverage.

EMSO President Khalid bin Sulayem praised Al Futtaim Group for its support, noting that the partnership helped elevate the event and bring world-class motorsport closer to the public. He added that Toyota’s continued involvement provides race officials with reliable vehicles that suit the demands of the competition.

This year’s rally serves as the final round of both the FIA World Baja Cup for cars and the FIM Bajas World Cup for bikes and quads, setting the stage for a decisive showdown. Argentina’s Yacopini, the UAE’s Mohammed Al Balooshi and Saudi Arabia’s Hani Al Noumesi currently lead their respective categories.

Regional entries will also feature prominently, including Emiratis Khalid Al Jafla and Mansour Belheli, Oman’s Hamed Al Wahaibi and Saudi Arabia’s Khaled Al Feraihi. Saudi driver Dania Akeel will compete in the Ultimate class, joining a strong international lineup with names such as Toby Price, Martin Prokop, Henk Lategan and Seth Quintero.

The ceremonial start, free to the public, will take place on Friday, 21 November at 20:00 hrs.
