Dubai International Airport (DXB) welcomed 95.2 million passengers in 2025, a 3.1 percent increase year on year, marking the busiest year in the airport’s history and the highest annual international passenger traffic ever recorded by any airport.

Dubai Airports said the milestone reflects sustained performance across the year rather than isolated peaks. DXB recorded its busiest day, month, quarter, and year on record, operating near physical capacity while maintaining high service standards through coordinated planning across the oneDXB airport community.

December emerged as the busiest month in DXB history, handling 8.7 million guests, up 6.1 percent compared to December 2024. The fourth quarter also set a new record with 25.1 million passengers, representing growth of 5.9 percent.

Total flight movements reached 454,800 in 2025, a 3.3 percent annual increase, with 118,000 movements recorded in the final quarter alone. Average passengers per movement remained strong at 214, supported by larger aircraft deployment and efficient capacity utilization. The annual load factor stood at 77.6 percent.

Operational performance remained robust at scale. DXB handled a record 86.75 million bags, up 4.95 percent, with 89 percent of arriving baggage delivered within 45 minutes. Mishandled baggage performance reached 99.75 percent, while security and passport control waiting times remained below global benchmarks for the vast majority of guests.

India remained DXB’s largest country market with 11.9 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, and the United States. By year-end, the airport was connected to 291 destinations in 110 countries through 108 international airlines.

Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths said the results demonstrate that record traffic has become part of DXB’s operating reality, reflecting the maturity of its systems and the strength of collaboration across its airport community.
