Dubai motorists can now enjoy a more streamlined experience when scheduling vehicle testing appointments, thanks to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)'s new pre-booking system.
This initiative, available at Tasjeel centres in Al Qusais and Al Barsha, aims to reduce long wait times and manage peak-hour congestion.
The pre-booking feature is designed to assist vehicle owners in avoiding queues by allowing them to schedule appointments for various tests, including the Renewal Test, Registration Test, and Export with Number Plates Test. Other vehicle tests will still be available on a walk-in basis.
During the trial period, which applies specifically to the Al Qusais and Al Barsha centres, customers arriving without an appointment will incur a Dh100 fee. This trial phase is intended to gauge the system's effectiveness and refine the service based on real-time feedback.
People of Determination, senior citizens, and residents are exempt from the pre-booking requirement. This exemption underscores the RTA’s commitment to providing accessible and convenient services for these groups.
Motorists can easily book their appointments through the RTA Dubai smart app or on the official website. The RTA will closely monitor the trial to assess its performance and identify areas for improvement, with the intention of extending the system to additional centres in the future.
This new system aims to enhance the overall quality of vehicle testing services, reflecting the RTA's dedication to improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
