Dubai's beloved La Mer Beach is transforming and will soon debut as J1 Beach following extensive renovations by developer Merex Investment. Slated for a September 2024 opening, J1 Beach will enhance the coastal experience with its lineup of three beach clubs and ten licensed restaurants.
The highlight of J1 Beach will be its diverse array of dining options, featuring 13 high-end culinary venues. The selection of these establishments was carefully executed to ensure a mix of successful and appealing brands, each contributing to a rich and varied dining scene. This strategic curation aims to deliver an unparalleled culinary adventure to visitors, enhancing the natural allure of the beachfront with a unique combination of flavors and dining experiences.
Shahram Shamsaee, CEO of Merex Investment, revealed the careful selection process behind the dining options at the newly reopened J1 Beach, formerly known as La Mer South.
"We had a choice of 15 to 20 beach clubs from Bali and around the world, selecting only those cuisines that have proven successful and popular in their markets. Our goal is to provide our customers with a unique experience, offering a distinctive vibe and menu that truly set us apart. It's more than a beach club; it's a unique waterfront experience,"
said Shamsaee.
J1 Beach now features three diverse beach clubs: Gigi Rigolatto, which brings Italian elegance; Sirene Beach by GAIA, offering authentic Greek Mediterranean flavors; and Bâoli, which blends East Asian cooking techniques with French and Mediterranean flavors. This variety caters to the eclectic tastes of Dubai’s cosmopolitan visitors, providing a wide range of culinary delights along with direct beach access and exclusive services like dedicated valet parking.
The beach club not only promises sumptuous dining but also a full day of beach experiences, from leisurely coffees and luxurious lunches to sun-soaking relaxation. The project’s aesthetics are enhanced with exotic plants and trees imported from Spain and Thailand, creating a visually stunning environment. J1 Beach is also equipped with a host of amenities including live entertainment, swimming pools, sunbeds, and a jetty guest service, ensuring a memorable visit. As the construction phase wraps up, Merex Investment aims to establish J1 Beach as a top destination for both locals and tourists, epitomizing luxury and relaxation.
