Dubai has taken another major step toward a fully digital real estate ecosystem as the Dubai Land Department (DLD) launched the first phase of its Digital Sale service through the Dubai Now app during GITEX Global 2025.
The initiative marks a significant advancement in the emirate’s digital transformation journey, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033.
The new service enables customers to complete property sale and registration transactions entirely online, using electronic signatures verified through the UAE Pass app. Available around the clock, the Digital Sale service allows users to create, sign, and finalise real estate contracts remotely, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to seamless, efficient, and secure digital services.
Through this system, sellers can generate digital sale contracts and send them to buyers via the platform. Once the buyer transfers the payment to a dedicated account, ownership certificates are instantly issued through the app, ensuring a smooth and transparent end-to-end process.
DLD stated that the service not only simplifies real estate procedures but also enhances the sector’s global competitiveness by fostering trust, transparency, and innovation. It supports Dubai’s vision of a sustainable, knowledge-based digital economy while boosting the emirate’s attractiveness for real estate investment.
To complete transactions, both parties must hold valid Emirates IDs, active UAE Pass accounts, and UAE bank accounts. Properties must be freehold units without existing mortgages and owned by a single owner.
As part of its participation in GITEX, DLD is also showcasing the Real Estate Instant Registration Platform and other digital initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency and promote real-time transparency in Dubai’s thriving property market.
