Dubai Land Department has launched a new Real Estate Diploma in partnership with the Higher Colleges of Technology, marking a strategic step to strengthen national talent and support the long-term sustainability of Dubai’s real estate sector.
The accredited professional programme combines DLD’s industry expertise with HCT’s applied academic framework to equip Emiratis with practical skills aligned with the evolving needs of the UAE property market. The initiative reflects a broader push to link education more closely with labour market demand.
The two-year diploma will enrol 40 participants per cohort and includes 90 accredited hours of training. The curriculum covers property management, real estate valuation and appraisal, brokerage operations, client relations, and real estate services marketing, preparing graduates for confident entry into the workforce.
As part of the launch, DLD signed cooperation agreements with leading developers including Emaar Properties, Sobha Realty, Aldar Properties, Omniyat, Azizi Developments, Danube Properties, and Ellington Properties. These partnerships will provide hands-on training opportunities and ensure the programme remains aligned with industry requirements.
DLD Director General Omar Hamad Bu Shehab said the initiative reinforces the department’s human-centric approach, noting that Dubai’s real estate transactions exceeded AED917 billion in 2025. He highlighted DLD’s role in employing 1,800 Emiratis in the sector since 2024 and expanding Emirati participation in real estate brokerage.
HCT President and CEO Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan said the diploma reflects the institution’s focus on applied education and industry collaboration, responding to a market that increasingly prioritises professional and technological skills.
The programme also offers graduates pathways to further academic study or professional licensing, supporting Dubai’s Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 and Social Agenda 33.
