Digital Dubai, through the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment (DDSE), has initiated the Dubai Labor Force Survey 2024, designed to assess the workforce size and analyze key employment and unemployment indicators.

This annual survey aims to deliver critical demographic, social, and economic insights into Dubai’s population and labor force, bolstering the emirate’s planning and development efforts.

The DDSE urges targeted households to participate, enabling the field teams to collect accurate and valuable data. As part of Dubai's Social Agenda D33, this initiative underpins the city's commitment to fostering equal opportunities and supporting an inclusive social system. The data gathered will guide policymakers in developing strategies aligned with Dubai’s economic objectives and workforce needs.

Younus Al Nasser, CEO of DDSE, emphasized the survey's role in offering a comprehensive overview of the workforce, stating,

“Field surveys are a direct means we use in Dubai to inform decision-making and devise strategies that support local talent and provide job opportunities.”

He added that the Labor Force Survey is essential for facilitating economic growth, job creation, and aligning skills with labor market demands.

In addition to evaluating economic participation and unemployment rates, the survey seeks to capture labor demographics, including employment status, economic activities, and Emiratisation levels. Privacy and data security standards are strictly adhered to in collecting and analyzing this information.

Running from October 1 to November 21, 2024, the survey will reach 5,500 households through a hybrid approach, utilizing telephone, email, and in-person interviews across Dubai’s diverse communities.
