H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, has launched the Media Leadership Programme, a strategic initiative to cultivate a new generation of media leaders and elevate Dubai's global media profile.
The programme, part of the Dubai Media Council's strategy to advance the media sector, aims to equip participants with the skills to craft compelling narratives that highlight Dubai's achievements and development agenda. It aligns with the emirate's broader vision of sustainable growth by fostering innovative leadership and building effective communication strategies.
Speaking on the initiative, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed reaffirmed Dubai's dedication to empowering the media sector through comprehensive support and partnerships with leading global institutions. Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized the role of visionary leadership in driving Dubai's progress and ensuring impactful communication aligned with its strategic priorities.
The programme’s inaugural cohort includes 24 communication professionals from 20 government and semi-government entities. Over nine months, participants will engage in specialised training, including lectures, practical workshops, and international visits to study global best practices. The curriculum, developed in collaboration with prestigious universities like MIT, Columbia, and George Washington University, provides certifications from these institutions.
The initiative aims to strengthen Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for business, innovation, and sustainability, ensuring that its media narratives reflect the emirate’s ambitious goals and achievements.
