RTA Launches New Nol Travel Card with Substantial Discounts for Dubai's Visitors and Residents.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled the Nol Travel Card, a new offering providing significant discounts and enhanced convenience for tourists, residents, and citizens. Priced initially at Dh200 with a balance of Dh19, the card can be renewed annually for Dh150.

The Nol Travel Card is designed to streamline payments for public transportation, parking, and various entertainment experiences in Dubai. Cardholders can enjoy discounts ranging from five to ten percent across a wide range of services, including hotels, shops, and adventure activities, with total savings potential up to Dh17,000.

“The Nol Travel Card aims to meet customer needs by integrating public transportation and city facilities into one payment method, offering discounts exceeding 100 percent in value,”

stated Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA.

Initially available at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and select partner stores such as Zoom and Europcar, the Nol Travel Card is poised to enhance the convenience of navigating the city. While existing Nol card users cannot yet transfer their balances to the new Nol Travel Card, RTA officials are considering this option for the future.

Salahaldeen Almarzouqi, director of the Automated Collection Systems Department, highlighted that the new card will feature its own packages with various benefits.

“Though it is currently a physical card, we plan to introduce a digital version through a barcode. Each Nol card has unique advantages, and we will explore the possibility of transferring balances from existing cards to the new Travel Card,”

he said during a press briefing.

Amr Abdelsamad, managing director of MDX Solutions, noted the card’s acceptance at over 100 partner establishments, including restaurants and entertainment facilities, with more partners expected to join.

This launch marks a significant step towards enhancing the ease of accessing Dubai's diverse offerings through a single, cost-effective solution.
