Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police General Headquarters have jointly announced the launch of the second edition of the Delivery Service Excellence Award.
Open for registration from 19th February to 31st May 2025, the award aims to foster competition among delivery service providers, elevate service standards, and reinforce road safety compliance.
The award is segmented into three key categories: Companies, Drivers, and Partners. It will recognize the top three delivery service providers, three leading smart platform operators, and the best strategic partner. Additionally, the top 200 delivery drivers will be honoured for their commitment to excellence and safety.
Ahmed Mahboub, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, highlighted the award’s success in its inaugural edition and its role in driving industry-wide improvements.
“This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Safety Strategy and contributes to establishing a ‘Safe City’ by reducing road accidents and promoting best practices within the delivery sector,”
Mahboub stated.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, underscored the importance of such initiatives in enhancing service quality and safety.
“Beyond enforcing regulations, this award fosters positive driving behaviour and a culture of safety, benefiting all road users,”
he remarked. He also emphasized Dubai Police’s commitment to ongoing safety campaigns, driver training, and the adoption of advanced monitoring technologies to uphold Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s safest cities.
The selection criteria for the Best Company category include adherence to safety and environmental standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, the Best Driver category evaluates clean driving records and overall performance. The initiative seeks to inspire excellence within the industry, ensuring that Dubai’s rapidly expanding delivery sector operates within a secure and efficient framework.
