Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Mallathon begins tomorrow (Friday), transforming nine major shopping malls into indoor walking and running tracks.
The event encourages residents and visitors to stay active during the summer in air-conditioned environments while supporting the goals of Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 33.
Running daily from 7 to 10 am throughout August, participating malls include Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Dubai Festival City, and Festival Plaza. The initiative features over 10km of walking tracks and weekend events with prizes like iPhones, shopping vouchers, and health services.
Organised in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and supported by the Ministry of Defence, the initiative includes health check-ups, nutrition consultations, and senior citizen-focused activities. Registration is free and available via www.dubaimallathon.ae.
