Dubai has taken a major step in maritime digital innovation with the launch of Marsa, the first unified digital platform for managing and leasing marine berths across the emirate.
The announcement was made at GITEX Global 2025 by the Dubai Maritime Authority, part of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation.
Marsa aims to digitize the entire marina sector, automating processes from online berth booking and fee calculation to invoicing and smart payments. The platform is designed to simplify procedures, reduce paperwork, and enhance operational efficiency for both authorities and vessel owners.
The platform is the first in the region to consolidate leasing contracts across all Dubai marinas and integrates with the Dubai Maritime Authority’s licensing systems and payment gateways. Intelligent dashboards provide real-time insights into occupancy rates, revenues, and compliance levels, offering unprecedented transparency for stakeholders.
H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, highlighted that the authority oversees 20 marinas with a total capacity of over 4,200 vessels, underscoring Marsa’s strategic role in enhancing sector efficiency.
Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, said the platform reflects Dubai’s vision for a fully integrated digital economy. He emphasized that Marsa streamlines leasing, maintenance, and accounting operations within a single interface, improving transparency, governance, and customer experience.
Sheikh Saeed added that the platform ensures secure electronic payments and a seamless user experience, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to smart services and sustainable maritime growth. Marsa is poised to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in maritime services and digital innovation.
