Dubai Media City, part of TECOM Group PJSC's dynamic Media Cluster, is making waves at the Global Media Congress (GMC) in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the power of multicultural creativity in the media sector.
The event, which runs until November 28 at the ADNEC Centre, serves as a platform for industry leaders to explore the future of media and digital innovation.
With over two decades of fostering creativity and knowledge exchange, Dubai Media City continues to be a hub for media professionals. As part of TECOM Group's Media Cluster, which includes Dubai Production City and Dubai Studio City, the district has seen significant growth. In the first nine months of 2024, customer numbers increased by 10%, surpassing 4,000 businesses, while the talent pool expanded to over 40,500 creative professionals.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City, and Dubai Studio City, emphasized the importance of collaborative innovation in shaping the industry's evolution.
“As our presence at GMC this year reaffirms, we will continue to fortify the creative economy by nurturing globally impactful collaboration,”
Al Suwaidi said.
At the event, Dubai Media City is showcasing insights from its 2024 Digital Creative Economy white paper, which explores growth opportunities worth AED 27 trillion in the global digital creative economy by 2030. The white paper, developed in partnership with Monstarlab, also delves into the impact of disruptive technologies like AI, Web3, and virtual reality.
In addition to showcasing the district's achievements, Dubai Media City is joined by startups from in5 Media, TECOM Group's entrepreneurship incubator, highlighting the cutting edge of media innovation at the Innovate Stage & NexTech.
