Dubai Media Council Explores Strategic Partnerships with X Corp. to Boost Digital Media Landscape

Dubai Media Council’s Vice Chairperson and Managing Director, Mona Al Marri, recently met with Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X Corp., to discuss strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening Dubai's position in the digital media industry.

The meeting aligns with directives from H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, as part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to establish the city as a leader in the global digital economy.

During the meeting, Al Marri emphasized Dubai's advanced media ecosystem, which houses top-tier global media and technology firms, including X’s first Middle East and North Africa office, established in Dubai in 2015. She expressed the council's commitment to enhancing collaboration with global tech giants like X Corp. to support influencer communities and encourage impactful digital content creation.

The discussions extended to knowledge exchange, skills training, and best practices aimed at bolstering digital expertise and job opportunities, particularly for Emirati talent. The leaders also examined policy frameworks for digital media and artificial intelligence, along with X Corp.'s interest in youth development initiatives within Dubai.

The meeting was also attended by Nehal Badri, Secretary-General of the Dubai Media Council, and Mohammed Al Mulla, CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated, who contributed insights on advancing media excellence and fostering innovation in the region’s digital landscape.
