Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's directives, the Dubai Media Council launched the Emirati Media Talent Pledge to develop national media talent through mentorship, internships, and job opportunities, announced during the Arab Media Forum. The initiative involves prominent media organizations and aims to strengthen Dubai's media sector.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed emphasized the UAE’s commitment to fostering youth creativity and innovation in media, inspired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision. Initiatives will enhance youth involvement in Dubai's media sector, collaborating with global and local media to equip young talents with essential skills.
The initiative, guided by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, aims to train a skilled national media workforce to meet international standards and adapt to global industry changes. It was launched with key officials including Mona Ghanem Al Marri and Nehal Badri of the Dubai Media Council.
The move is aligned with the Dubai Media Council’s strategy to nurture local media talent. It also reflects the commitment of Dubai’s leadership to ensure that Emiratis have access to every possible opportunity to achieve success and advancement in their chosen professional sphere.
Hesham Al Olama highlighted an initiative to discover, train, and upskill local media talents, preparing them for Dubai's media sector growth. It involves specialized training through leading media institutions and partnerships with private and academic sectors to provide professional training and employment opportunities for Emirati youth.
Dr. Maitha bint Essa Buhumaid emphasized the Dubai Press Club's commitment to supporting national media talents for the UAE's media industry growth. For over 20 years, the DPC has empowered young professionals through training programs and collaboration with media institutions, enhancing the sector with creative talent.
Heads of organizations praised the initiative for aligning with Dubai's vision, supporting youth innovation, and committing to the Emirati Media Pledge. The initiative aims to nurture aspiring media professionals, fostering a vibrant media ecosystem in Dubai.
