Dubai Media Incorporated has launched Dubai Plus, a new digital platform aimed at strengthening Dubai’s position as a regional and global hub for content creation and digital media.
The launch, held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, marks a significant step in Dubai Media’s digital transformation strategy.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by senior officials, including Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Media Incorporated, alongside media leaders and industry figures.
Al Marri said Dubai Plus reflects the emirate’s ambition to stay aligned with global shifts in media and broadcasting. She highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance competitiveness, strengthen the media ecosystem, encourage private sector participation, invest in talent development, and leverage advanced technology to drive innovation and growth across the sector.
AlMulla described Dubai Plus as a fully integrated digital destination designed to deliver high quality and diverse content while expanding audience engagement in future phases. He noted that the platform is built on advanced digital infrastructure following extensive technical and creative development to meet global performance standards.
Salem Balyouha, Chief Executive Officer of Media Content at Dubai Media Incorporated, said the platform introduces a new phase in digital broadcasting for the region, with a strong focus on family safe viewing. At launch, Dubai Plus offers more than 20 exclusive series, six original productions, over 170 international titles, and a dedicated sports catalogue featuring 12 live championships.
Dubai Plus aims to elevate Emirati and Arab content, support regional talent, and expand partnerships that help local productions reach wider global audiences.
