Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled a significant enhancement in urban mobility services, allowing select motorists to manage key documents through their mobile phones.

As of July 2, Samsung users can seamlessly renew driving licenses and vehicle registrations via the RTA app, with integration into the Samsung Wallet.

The newly updated RTA app, introduced in May, features a user-friendly interface designed to consolidate services onto a single, personalized dashboard. This streamlined approach simplifies the process of renewing licenses, purchasing parking tickets, and managing transportation-related documents, eliminating the need for multiple applications.

Meera Al Shaikh, Director of Smart Services at RTA, emphasized the robust security measures in place, ensuring data privacy and user trust.

"Through smartphones, we are advancing urban mobility, aligning with Dubai's ambition to lead in smart city innovation,"

she stated.

Fadi Abu Shamat, Head of Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics, highlighted the integration's security standards, leveraging Samsung's Knox security suite. This partnership builds on previous innovations such as the digital nolPay, enabling users to pay for public transportation and make purchases at various retail outlets with their smartphones.

The initiative reflects RTA's commitment to enhancing convenience and security in urban transportation, supporting Dubai's vision for a digital future.
