Dubai Municipality has announced the return of the Hatta Honey Festival for its 10th edition, held as part of the #HattaWinter initiative.

Running until 31 December 2025 at Hatta Hall, the festival is one of the region’s most anticipated agri-tourism and community events, celebrating local honey production and Hatta’s rich natural and rural heritage. The event is free and open to the public.

The festival brings together beekeepers, honey producers, small businesses, and enthusiasts, supporting Dubai Municipality’s efforts to position Hatta as a leading eco- and agri-tourism destination. By combining production, education, testing, and retail experiences in one venue, the festival creates direct economic opportunities for national producers while promoting sustainable rural development and strengthening Hatta’s role within Dubai’s tourism landscape.

This year’s edition features more than 50 indoor booths dedicated to beekeepers and honey producers, along with 10 outdoor booths showcasing retail concepts and family-run businesses. Visitors can also enjoy an outdoor workshop area, a majlis, indoor lounges, live performances, children’s activity zones, and four food and beverage trucks, offering a well-rounded, family-friendly experience.

A key highlight of the festival is the participation of the Dubai Central Laboratory, which is presenting an integrated laboratory platform showcasing advanced technologies for testing honey quality and safety. Using infrared-based devices, the laboratory can conduct key tests in under one minute, supported by a comprehensive framework of up to 512 accredited tests. An automated smart robot will also demonstrate advanced sample reception processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

During the festival, Dubai Municipality will announce a pioneering initiative to develop a laboratory fingerprint and digital identity for Emirati honey, enabling verification of origin, type, and quality. A cooperation agreement with the Hatta Traders Council will support implementation of this first-of-its-kind project in the UAE.

Overall, the Hatta Honey Festival offers an inclusive winter destination experience that blends education, heritage, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, supporting local communities and sustainable economic growth in the Hatta region.
