Dubai Municipality Launches Fourth Season of Farmers’ Market at Qur’anic Park

Dubai Municipality is set to launch the fourth season of its popular Farmers' Market on Saturday, December 7, at the Qur’anic Park.

The market, running until February 22, 2025, is a community-focused initiative aimed at supporting Emirati farmers, enhancing local agriculture, and promoting food security goals.

The Farmers’ Market offers a platform for farmers and small business owners to sell agricultural, dairy, and home-based products directly to the public. This initiative aligns with the National Food Security Strategy 2051 and Dubai’s Food Security Strategy, while also complementing the ‘Plant the Emirates’ program, which enhances agricultural sustainability and leadership.

Ahmed Al Zarooni, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, highlighted the market’s role in connecting Emirati farmers with consumers.

“It has become a key event, blending community engagement with economic growth,”

he said. Al Zarooni also noted that the market’s program, featuring entertainment and family-friendly activities, offers a unique opportunity for visitors to access high-quality local produce at competitive prices.

Over the past three seasons, the Farmers’ Market has attracted 143,569 visitors and supported 135 Emirati farmers. This year, the market continues to expand, offering not only fresh local produce but also workshops, food stalls, and consultations to support farmers in boosting productivity and sustainability.

The Farmers' Market is quickly becoming a key fixture in Dubai’s winter calendar, combining local produce, community interaction, and educational opportunities, making it a must-visit for residents and tourists alike.
