Dubai Municipality has been honoured as the UAE Country Winner in the 2025 International Safety Awards by the British Safety Council, recognising its excellence in occupational health and safety.
Chosen from hundreds of global entries, it is one of only 10 organisations worldwide to receive this prestigious title.
The award acknowledges Dubai Municipality’s comprehensive efforts to maintain safe, healthy, and sustainable work environments, guided by global best practices. Its success stems from implementing internationally recognised safety systems, forward-thinking policies, and continuous innovation in safety technologies.
Dr Naseem Mohammed Rafee, CEO of the Environment, Health, and Safety Agency, stated the recognition reinforces Dubai’s vision of becoming a global benchmark for livability and workplace wellbeing. The Municipality’s approach includes employee wellbeing programs, incident prevention strategies, and widespread safety education to foster a preventive culture across all departments.
This achievement strengthens Dubai Municipality’s regional leadership in occupational safety and showcases its ongoing role in building a future-ready, risk-conscious workforce.
