Dubai Municipality has unveiled a new business model in collaboration with the private sector for managing its shared government centres, beginning with the Al Kifaf Centre.
This initiative aligns with the government’s ongoing strategy to bolster private sector partnerships and enhance service quality for clients.
The implementation of this operational model at Al Kifaf Centre has yielded remarkable results, including a 70% reduction in operational expenses and a significant boost in efficiency. In 2024, the centre expanded its service offerings to 123, marking a 98% increase from the previous year. This growth not only improves responsiveness to customer needs but also strengthens relationships with relevant stakeholders.
His Excellency Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized the initiative's alignment with the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He stated,
“Our commitment to supporting partnerships with private sector institutions is reflected in the adoption of this new business model, which embodies our vision for delivering pioneering services.”
Manal Bin Yaroof, Director of Customer Happiness at Dubai Municipality, noted that the reactivation of Al Kifaf Centre in partnership with the private sector provides a comprehensive suite of services under one roof, enhancing the customer experience. The centre’s increasing number of partners will further improve service delivery in the future.
Dubai Municipality mandates that entities operating within these shared centres maintain high service standards as part of its excellence programmes. Plans are underway to roll out this partnership model across all shared government centres, ensuring optimal service quality and customer satisfaction.
