Dubai Municipality has achieved a remarkable milestone by adding three new international standards certifications to its portfolio, including the world’s first certificate in wastewater sludge treatment.
The Municipality has also become the first entity in the Middle East to earn two additional certifications, recognising its excellence in sustainable development management and organisational documentation systems management.
These achievements reflect Dubai Municipality's steadfast commitment to innovation and advancing key municipal sectors. Guided by an integrated institutional framework, the Municipality prioritises creativity and future-readiness to maintain Dubai’s global competitiveness.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Fida Al Hammadi, Director of Strategy and Corporate Development Department at Dubai Municipality, stated,
“Dubai Municipality strives to strengthen Dubai’s leadership and competitiveness by implementing the best management and governance systems. These efforts directly contribute to enhancing the emirate's attractiveness and quality of life, elevating its global competitiveness rankings, and positioning it as the ideal destination for business, investment, and tourism.”
Al Hammadi further highlighted that these certifications underscore the Municipality’s dedication to adopting international best practices in municipal governance.

she added.
