Dubai Municipality is making a significant presence at the Big 5 Global, the world’s premier construction industry event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 26th to 29th November 2024.
This event provides the Municipality an opportunity to highlight its latest initiatives in advancing the emirate's construction sector while exploring innovative practices and fostering new collaborations.
Dawoud Al Hajri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized the city's commitment to sustainable urban planning and smart building systems.
“Our participation in the Big 5 Global reflects our dedication to developing a smart, sustainable, and world-leading construction sector,”
he stated.
“The exhibition allows us to engage with the private sector and showcase Dubai’s strategic initiatives that contribute to the local economy.”
The Municipality's participation also includes sponsoring a dedicated space for modern construction systems, such as 3D printing and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Maryam Obaid Al Muhairi, CEO of the Buildings Regulation and Permits Agency, highlighted Dubai’s efforts to modernize construction practices through these initiatives.
Beyond the exhibition, Dubai Municipality is also contributing to the GeoWorld Exhibition and Conference, focused on geographic information technology, and the LiveableCitiesX Conference, centered on urban sustainability. At the Big 5 Leaders’ Summit, the Municipality will collaborate with public and private sector leaders to shape future construction strategies.
Dubai Municipality’s presence at the event extends to the Future Tech Summit, where it will spotlight transformative technologies for the sector, as well as participating in panel discussions, workshops, and Big 5 Talks, offering expert insights into the evolving construction landscape.
