Dubai Parks and Recreational Facilities Attract Over 16 million Visitors in H1 2024

Dubai Municipality recorded an impressive 16,391,748 visitors to its major public parks, residential parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities in the first half of 2024, reflecting a significant increase of 1.3 million visitors compared to last year.

Residential parks in the Emirate attracted 10,613,996 visitors, while the five major parks welcomed 3,146,480 visitors. Al-Mamzar Park led with 1,000,755 visitors, followed by Mushrif Park with 874,201, Creek Park with 583,508, Za'abeel Park with 545,335, and Al-Safa Park with 142,681 visitors.

Additionally, Quranic Park saw 1,037,402 visitors, and the Dubai Frame attracted 827,000. The bicycle, mountain, and pedestrian pathways at the Municipality’s parks and facilities received 623,904 visitors. Moreover, 89,385 people visited stadiums, and 53,578 visited Children’s City.

H.E. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized the appeal and significance of Dubai’s parks and facilities as key leisure and tourism destinations. He highlighted the Municipality’s commitment to providing top-notch services and state-of-the-art equipment, which is integral to its mission of managing and developing parks, leisure facilities, and tourist attractions in Dubai.

Al Hajri stated:

The Municipality is committed to offering exceptional services and experiences for visitors to enhance their quality of life and happiness. It offers integrated facilities, manages all related operations, and organises leisure events throughout the year with the goal of developing new leisure spaces and options. This reaffirms our dedication to improving the quality of life and appeal of Dubai while also achieving the Emirate’s tourism aims and objectives, thereby positioning it as a major global travel destination.

Dubai’s public parks and recreational areas are designed to be easily accessible via various modes of transportation and offer a total of 13 million spaces. Featuring vast lawns, botanical gardens, and innovative designs, these parks aim to provide visitors with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, thereby enhancing their overall happiness.

To further improve accessibility, the Municipality offers a range of services, including parking spaces, free seating and play areas, hiking and BBQ spaces, walking and running trails, bicycles, a horse-riding area, and sports facilities such as basketball and tennis courts.
