Dubai Police Air Wing Achieves 304 Successful Missions in First Half of 2024
The Dubai Police Air Wing has announced the successful completion of 304 missions during the first half of 2024. These operations included transporting injured individuals and patients, conducting search and rescue operations, and carrying out various training exercises. The Air Wing also played a crucial role in executing police and security tasks aimed at enhancing safety across Dubai.
Of the total missions, 140 were focused on patrol work, 64 on police tasks, and 66 on training exercises. Additionally, 24 missions involved the transportation of injured individuals, 5 were dedicated to search operations, and another 5 involved the transport of patients.
Brigadier Ali Almheri, Director of the Dubai Police Air Wing Centre, emphasized the unit's commitment to Dubai Police's goals of rapid response and effective incident management, particularly in traffic-related cases. He noted the importance of swiftly transporting seriously injured individuals to hospitals, highlighting the Air Wing's role in humanitarian missions such as transferring patients from clinics to hospitals.
Almheri also stressed the importance of continuous training for Air Wing pilots, ensuring they are equipped to provide top-notch services under any circumstances. The pilots participate in specialized emergency courses, enabling them to carry out rapid missions at low altitudes and in congested areas.
The Dubai Police Air Wing's achievements in the first half of 2024 reflect its vital role in maintaining safety and security in the emirate, as well as its dedication to humanitarian efforts and emergency response.
