Dubai Police fielded more than 1.3 million calls through its Command-and-Control Centre in the second quarter of 2026, maintaining a 99.8 percent compliance rate in answering emergency calls within 10 seconds, well above the 97 percent target.
Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, shared the results while chairing the General Department of Operations' quarterly performance review meeting. He was joined by Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations, and senior officers.
The force also recorded 98.8 percent patrol coverage across police station jurisdictions during the period, surpassing its 97 percent target and reflecting the strength of its deployment and rapid response strategy.
Al Shamsi credited customer feedback as central to the force's progress, describing residents and visitors as strategic partners in its development. He pointed to a mystery shopper program that contacts customers after they receive services to measure satisfaction and convert feedback into operational improvements.
The meeting also reviewed a workforce study examining staffing needs within the Command-and-Control Centre to support round the clock operations, along with future projects aimed at strengthening readiness for evolving security challenges.
Al Shamsi praised the centre's handling of recent exceptional circumstances, citing its efficiency in managing emergency reports, dispatching patrols and coordinating with other authorities.
He also emphasised accelerating artificial intelligence integration across operations, aligning with Dubai Government's target of shifting half of government operations to AI supported processes to improve decision making and response times.
The session closed with recognition for the best patrol supervisors across Dubai's police stations, honouring their field performance and contribution to community safety.
