Dubai Police, in collaboration with Nestlé’s Purina Pro Plan, has announced the inaugural International K9 Show, set to take place from April 18 to 20.
This high-profile event will highlight the vital role of dogs in law enforcement, training, and security operations.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, expressed that the event underscores the importance of international cooperation in policing and security.
"This K9 event aims to provide a platform for showcasing the skills of police dog units, enhancing our training expertise, and facilitating knowledge exchange among global experts,"
he said. Al Ghaithi envisions the event growing into a world-class annual gathering within five years.
The show will feature interactive workshops, engaging activities for dog lovers, and competitions with cash prizes, including awards for the best breed and live performance displays. Lieutenant Colonel Salah Al Mazrouei, Director of the K9 Security Inspection Unit, emphasized the significance of police dogs in maintaining security. He highlighted the opportunity for attendees to connect with specialists, explore the latest technologies, and learn from leading professionals in the field.
With over 30 global exhibitors, the event will bring together experts in dog breeding, training, and care. Additionally, a dedicated family-friendly zone will offer educational sessions and entertainment for pet owners and enthusiasts.
