Dubai Police has opened registration for the seventh edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, inviting elite tactical units from around the world to compete in Dubai from 7th to 11th February 2026.
The event promises high-intensity competitions that test the skills, strategy, and teamwork of specialist police teams.
Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency for Organisation Security Affairs and Chair of the Organising Committee, said early registration allows teams to confirm participation and prepare for peak performance. He described the challenge as “one of the world’s leading tactical competitions for specialist police teams.”
The previous edition of the SWAT Challenge set a Guinness World Record for the highest number of countries participating in a tactical competition, drawing 103 teams from 46 nations. The 2026 edition aims to build on this success, promoting the exchange of expertise, showcasing international best practices, and measuring readiness for diverse operational scenarios.
Under the guidance of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the competition continues to emphasize meticulous planning, organisation, and professional standards.
Teams will compete in five events: Assault, Tactical Operations, Officer Rescue, High Tower, and Obstacle Course. Each discipline tests tactical acumen, physical conditioning, and teamwork, with daily points contributing to the overall championship.
