Dubai Police marked a significant milestone by celebrating the graduation of the first female land rescue team in the UAE, composed of 18 non-commissioned officers.
The ceremony, attended by prominent figures, including Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, highlighted the Force’s commitment to empowering women in security and rescue operations.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri praised the graduates for completing specialised land rescue courses, emphasising that the initiative reflects Dubai Police's focus on enhancing women's skills in military fields. He said,
"This approach strengthens their ability to handle emergencies effectively and professionally, working alongside their male colleagues to boost the overall effectiveness of our operations."
The Commander-in-Chief noted that Emirati women have become integral to the country’s progress in various sectors, including policing. He expressed pride in qualifying the first female team for land rescue operations, adding that their presence demonstrates their ability to overcome challenges in the field.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi also commended the graduates, recognising their ability to manage real-life rescue scenarios to high standards. He applauded their proficiency in tasks such as extraction, recovery, and emergency responses, which were demonstrated during the ceremony through practical exercises involving road accidents and vehicle rescues.
The female graduates expressed pride in their pioneering role, attributing their success to Dubai Police’s dedication to their training and development. The ceremony concluded with impressive live demonstrations of rescue techniques, further showcasing the team's expertise.
