Dubai Police has unveiled its latest addition to the luxury patrol fleet, marking a significant leap in the city's embrace of cutting-edge law enforcement technology.

The Tesla Cybertruck, adorned in striking green and white livery, is set to patrol Dubai's streets, embodying the city's commitment to futuristic policing.

Originally teased in November 2019 with a social media post featuring the Cybertruck prototype, Dubai Police has now materialized its vision with the arrival of this electric marvel. The vehicle, prominently displaying the number '5' on its unique plate, was showcased on social media platforms, drawing attention from around the globe.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was observed inspecting the vehicle, underlining the leadership's interest and support for technological advancements in law enforcement.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, responded to the unveiling with a brief comment on social media, further highlighting the international interest in Dubai's high-tech police fleet. The Cybertruck joins a prestigious lineup of supercars in Dubai Police's fleet, reinforcing the city's reputation for blending luxury with innovation in public service.

Cybertruck design

The Tesla Cybertruck features a distinct angular design crafted from ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel, offering a futuristic appearance with exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. It utilizes Tesla Armour Glass, known for its high durability against impacts.

The Cybertruck boasts towing capabilities up to 11,000 pounds and an estimated range of 340 miles. With access to Tesla Superchargers, it can reportedly gain 128 to 136 miles of range in just 15 minutes, highlighting its efficiency and innovation in electric vehicle technology.

Price

In 2024, Tesla's Cybertruck is available for pre-order in three versions on their website: Rear-wheel drive for approximately $57,390, All-wheel drive for about $76,390, and the top-tier Cyberbeast for an estimated $96,390.

Performance

The Tesla Cybertruck comes in three versions:

  1. Single Motor RWD: Features a single motor, rear-wheel drive, over 250 miles range per charge, and tows up to 7,500 pounds.
  2. Dual Motor AWD: Includes dual motors, all-wheel drive, over 300 miles range, and tows up to 10,000 pounds.
  3. Tri Motor AWD: Top-tier model with three motors, all-wheel drive, over 500 miles range, and tows up to 14,000 pounds. The Tri Motor AWD version accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.9 seconds, showcasing its speed and power.

Features

The Tesla Cybertruck boasts a spacious interior seating six adults, equipped with a 17-inch touchscreen for vehicle controls and entertainment. Standard features include Tesla's Autopilot for advanced driver assistance, with an optional upgrade to Full Self-Driving capability. Its "vault" truck bed spans 6.5 feet, offering 100 cubic feet of lockable storage, complemented by an onboard power inverter supporting 110V and 220V electricity needs.
