Dubai Police have earned five top honors from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) for 2025, reaffirming their global leadership in innovation, training, and security excellence.
The awards were presented at the annual IACP conference in the United States.
Major General Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, said the recognition highlights Dubai Police’s status as a global model in policing. He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of all departments and personnel committed to advancing institutional excellence and innovation.
He noted that enhancing the security system remains a top priority through continuous investment in field projects, training programs, and leadership development. He added that the force’s ongoing commitment to creativity, advanced technologies, and strategic global partnerships continues to set new benchmarks for policing standards worldwide.
Dubai Police secured three institutional awards: the Prevention of Transnational Crime Award for INTERPOL Team 15 from the General Department of Criminal Investigation; the Leadership in Crime Prevention Award for the SecurePlay initiative by the General Department of Training; and the Leadership in Law Enforcement Research Award, also received by the General Department of Training.
In the individual category, Engineer Major Muhammad Omar Almuhairi won the Leadership in Police Aviation Award, while Captain Sama Abdulrahim Al Zarouni was named among the IACP’s 40 Under 40 honorees.
Al Mulla praised the accomplishments as a reflection of the teamwork and integration that define Dubai Police, calling the recognition another milestone in the force’s ongoing pursuit of comprehensive and sustainable security excellence.
