Dubai Ports Authority (DPA), part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) at its Mina Rashid headquarters, reinforcing ties between two of the world’s leading maritime hubs.

The visit underscored Dubai’s commitment to international collaboration and innovation in port operations, while highlighting shared goals with Singapore to advance global maritime standards.

Discussions focused on key areas including digital transformation of port services, maritime sustainability, and regulatory development. Both sides explored the adoption of smart systems to streamline operations, best practices in reducing emissions and advancing green shipping, and mechanisms to enhance compliance with international conventions on safety, security, and environmental performance.

Capacity building and talent development also featured prominently, with joint training initiatives proposed to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen specialized maritime expertise.

Capt. Ibrahim Al Blooshi, Executive Director of DPA, described the visit as a milestone in ongoing cooperation with Singapore, noting the importance of embracing innovation and sustainability to enhance efficiency in global trade and logistics.

The meeting concluded with both authorities reaffirming their commitment to deepen collaboration through joint initiatives that support innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in the maritime sector.
